Saturday
Breakfast at the hotel this morning. Then we (me, Buggy and Cowboy) got out to the track and start to fix the the rest of the problems with the broken valves. After some struggle we finally got everything in place and working. Happy but greasy we stored everything away and cleaned ourselfs up. Got up to the Chevy dealer and had an oil change and wash of the truck.
On our way back we saw a signs about an auction a few blocks away,
so we went for it. Buggy wanted to stay for a while, but Cowboy and I
went back to the hotel. Picked him up an hour later an went to China
Garden for lunch. Now stuffed again and very happy we returned to the
hotel.
Cowboy had some paperwork to take
care of, and helpful as I am, I went shopping at the Fleet Farm again
:-p Underwear, socks, pants and some shirts this time. Man this place is
huge, you need a map to get around in there.
Well,
6 o'clock pm we met down in the lobby and took off for the North
Central Speedway. Great dirt track racing on a 1/3 mile track! They ran a
couple of different classes from stock to modified, really cool to
visit one of these events :-)
On our way back we dropped in to Perkins Restauant & Bakery. Back at the hotel at midnight.
I've
been here for just a week and a half, but it feels like a month. So
much have happened already, I've seen so much, and experienced a lot.
These guys are so great to spend time with, I'm very happy :-) Lights
out folks.
