Thursday
Off with Rick 6.30 from the hotel and drove to the track. Opening day today, so everything was loaded up on the truck before we took position at the top end. Crew today was Mark as our truck captain, Cindi, Randy, Jonathan and me. Went back after unloading to have a morning meeting. 9.30 the race was on, only sportsman and one round of comp today. Everything went smooth, didn't respond to anything during the day. Lovely weather today too, sun shininng and a light breeze.
Done about 3.30, so back to the mother ship and unloaded.
Made a quick stop at Nitro Mall for an event shirt before Rick and I left.
Down to Brainerd and Westgate Mall to pick up a pair of sneakers before we went to a fantastic burger place called Yesterday's gone. Great burgers and very nice staff.
Back at the hotel the "Big Bath" had already started.. The hotel has an indoor water park with water slides and hot tub (not as good as Marks though) and some of the guys were already in place, so we joined them. Good fun going those water slides! :-) We broke up at 8.45 exausted but happy.
Another lovely day among great people has come to end end. Time is 9.50pm, lights out.
